ROUTES

The race starts in Misurina in front of Chalet Alpenrose at an altitude of 1,756 meters. After skirting the lake, it follows the final section of the disused Torre del Diavolo ski slope in the opposite direction. Turning left, it joins trail no. 115, which leads to Pian degli Spiriti. Here, a short flat stretch leads to a left turn onto trail no. 118, which ascends to the picturesque ruins of Coston S. Angelo. After passing the ruins, there is a short technical single-track section leading to the military road, which gently descends to the Mazzorana slope of the Col De Varda chairlift. Climbing up the slope to the namesake refuge at an altitude of 2,115 meters, the route continues uphill to the right, reaching a saddle behind which an artillery observatory from World War I is visible. After crossing some rocks (to be approached with caution), a comfortable path descends to the refuge, where a left turn leads to the dirt road (trail no. 120) that continues to Rifugio Città di Carpi at 2,130 meters, located at kilometer 12 with the first refreshment point. From Rifugio Carpi, the course follows the Durissini trail (trail no. 112), passing through Forcella Verde, Cristina, Cadin Deserto, Sabbiosa, and Torre, reaching beneath Rifugio Fonda Savio. This section is the most technical of the route, with scree slopes and a short equipped section that, while not particularly challenging, requires caution. Without reaching Rifugio Fonda Savio, the route descends to Forcella Rinbianco and then to the intersection of trail no. 119 and no. 101 at 1,877 meters. (Note: From this point, participants experiencing difficulties can return to Misurina.) From here, the climb begins toward Rifugio Auronzo (kilometer 22) at 2,330 meters, where the second refreshment point and a time checkpoint are located. Continuing along trail no. 101, the route becomes almost flat, leading to Rifugio Lavaredo (2,344 meters). Shortly after, it intersects with trail no. 104, which passes by the beautiful Lago di Cengia and ascends to Rifugio Pian di Cengia (kilometer 28). From Rifugio Pian di Cengia, the route ascends to the Forcella (the highest point of the race, at 2,522 meters), where it rejoins trail no. 101 with a right turn. After a short descent, the path skirts the Laghi dei Piani and climbs to Rifugio Locatelli (2,450 meters), where the final food and drink refreshment station is located (kilometer 31). From this point, the route follows trail no. 105, offering views of the north face of the Tre Cime, descending first to Pian Da Rin and then climbing toward Malga Langhalm (2,283 meters). After a brief climb from the malga, the route traverses scree slopes descending from Sasso di Landro before reaching Forcella Col Di Mezzo (2,315 meters). From the forcella, the path turns right onto the trail dedicated to Paul Grohmann, descending toward Forcella dell’Arghena (2,252 meters). A mule track then leads to Malga Rinbianco, where the final drink station is located (1,841 meters, kilometer 38). After Malga Rinbianco, a short descent leads to the dirt road that climbs to the toll booth for the Tre Cime road. Caution is needed when crossing the road here, as the route then joins a trail that ascends gently to Pian degli Spiriti. Upon reaching the disused Torre del Diavolo ski slope, the path turns right for a final short descent toward the finish line.
